Snow Clearing Advisory

In response to the recent snowfall, the Washtenaw County Road Commission would like to remind property owners and private snow removal contractors that state law prohibits the plowing or shoveling of snow, ice or slush onto or across roadways or highways, as it can present a serious traffic hazard. In addition, snow must not be piled in such a way as to obstruct motorists’ vision.

Modern Roundabout Educational Seminar

The Washtenaw County Road Commission is holding a Modern Roundabout Educational Seminar for the upcoming Whittaker Road at Stony Creek Road intersection improvement project. You are invited to this meeting led by our consultant, DLZ Michigan, Inc. to hear about the benefits and operation of modern roundabouts, identify myths and facts of these intersections, and discuss in general terms the aspects of the preliminary design. WCRC staff and our consultant will be available to answer questions from the audience.

Feldkamp Road Bridge Reopened

The Washtenaw County Road Commission announced today the Feldkamp Road Bridge has been temporarily repaired and the road was officially reopened to the traveling public on Monday, December 8, 2008.
