Background
On Monday, July 21, 2008, the Washtenaw County Road Commission will begin preparations to move the existing truss bridge from the abutments in order to facilitate the repairs to the truss and the replacement of the abutments as part of the rehabilitation project for the East Delhi Road Bridge over Huron River in Scio Township.
The bridge has been closed since June 2005 due to structural failure and will remain closed throughout the bridge rehabilitation project, which is expected to be completed in November. There will not be a signed detour route for this project. Access to the Delhi Metropark and for residents within the construction zone will be maintained.
The Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as these necessary improvements to the county road system are completed.
