Under perfect weather conditions, unpaved road maintenance is an ongoing and difficult undertaking, especially since almost half of our road system is gravel. With the recent weather conditions, jumping from 50 degrees back down to 30, our unpaved road maintenance has been a never-ending challenge for our operations crews. Regardless, our crews continue to do their best to maintain our gravel road system and provide a safe environment for the traveling public. Thank you for all your hard work!
As we quickly approach the end of the year, I would like to remind our organization that nominations for the Recognize-Our-Workforce (ROW) Awards are due by December 31 for the fourth quarter. The ROW Award is a platform for our organization to highlight the hard work performed by our fellow co-workers. You can submit a nomination by visiting our employee central web page, here. Once all the nominations have been received, two winners are randomly selected during the first week of the next quarter. Winners receive a ROW Award pin and a $50 amazon gift card, in addition to being showcased on our digital signs and weekly update. This is a wonderful opportunity to recognize and boast about the exceptional work that is executed throughout our organization and it is particularly meaningful since it comes from our co-workers.
