Our contractors have been making great progress on the improvements at the intersection of Ridge Road, Hack Road and Westfall Road in York Township. Concrete curbs and gutters were placed earlier this week; this curb is designed to help with road drainage and to better define the road access points at the intersection, promoting safety for motorists.
Once the concrete has cured, our contractors will begin work on the concrete truck aprons that will be installed directly behind the curb. These 4-foot wide aprons will protect the back of the curb from vehicles making wide turns, such as trucks and agricultural equipment.
The intersection remains closed to all traffic. Residents who live within the work zone will continue to be provided access to their homes, but no traffic will be allowed to cross the intersection during construction.
