Construction is progressing on the Huron River Dr bridge, over the Huron River, between Tubbs Rd and Wagner Rd in Scio Township.
Repairs to the bridge deck and concrete barriers are continuing this week. The contractor removed and replaced the deck joint and poured concrete. While this portion of the deck is curing, work will continue on the south bridge barrier. We expect to pour the concrete for the south bridge barrier and reopen the road to two-way traffic by the end of this week.
The last step for this bridge preventative maintenance work is an epoxy application to the bridge deck surface, which will be performed in approximately one month. The temporary signals will remain in flashing yellow until the contractor returns. We appreciate your patience while we complete these important bridge maintenance items to keep our bridges in good condition. The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will continue to send out updates as the project progresses.
