The resurfacing project on Brown Dr, between Aspen Blvd and M-52 in Sylvan Township, is complete! Recently, the contractor for the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) placed aggregate (stone) shoulders and pavement markings on the newly paved surface.

The resurfacing project on Brown Dr, between Aspen Blvd and M-52 in Sylvan Township, is moving along. The contractor for the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) has placed the first layer of hot mix asphalt and is scheduled to place another layer by next week. Once the paving operation is complete, the contractor will schedule the placement of aggregate (stone) shoulders and pavement markings. All work is weather permitting.

WHY: Road resurfacing
BACKGROUND: On Wednesday, September 11, 2024, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will begin a resurfacing project on Brown Dr between Aspen Blvd and M-52 in Sylvan Township.
The road will not be closed to traffic, but delays are likely due to daily lane restrictions.
The road improvements are expected to take approximately two weeks to complete. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
